Awe: My Latest Accomplishment

In this piece, my latest accomplishment, I recall a West African, Yoruba tale of Orishas (i.e. gods and goddesses), recounting the story of Oshun – orisha of love, seduction and sweetness. She brought the powerful Ogun – entity of iron, machines and technology – out of his lair in the impenetrable forest to restore order to the world. Here, Oshun is represented as victorious, surrounded by the profiles of seven other Orishas who are in awe of her prowess and magnificence.
